Impedence Pneumograph Coupler
Product #: V73-22
|
The Transthoracic Impedance Coupler is used for recording respiratory and ECG activity by measuring the thoracic impedance between two electrodes. IPG (Impedance pneumography) measures respiration rate and relative volume. Absolute volumes can be measured by first calibrating with a spirometer. In addition, the unit provides simultaneous measurement of ECG, a particularly attractive feature when working with small animals. Transthoracic impedance is determined by passing a four microamp, 50 KHz constant current through the subject's thorax and measuring the voltage across the electrodes. It is isolated to prevent interference from the excitation voltage when recording other signals.
Requires V91-43 Cable, 2 - V91-11 leads and 2 - V91-01 Electrodes. Order separately.
