Privacy and Customer Security Statement

Coulbourn Instruments is committed to your privacy and have detailed our practices below:

Coulbourn Instruments will not release personally identifiable information about you without your permission except as needed to provide to you the services you have expressly requested, as explained in greater detail in the section on "third party relationships" below. We will provide the means for you to manage and control the information that you have voluntarily provided to us. We will provide mechanisms for you to communicate your privacy questions and concerns to us and that we will respond to them thoroughly and thoughtfully.  An eMail to sales@coulbourn.com or written letter to our main office expressing your desire to have all said information removed from our database and files will result in all pertinent information deleted from digital format within 2 business days.  If you wish to have a copy of any information we have on file, eMail sales@coulbourn.com and request a copy.  A photocopy of your file will be sent to you by U.S. Postal Service within 2 business days.

Your personal privacy is our most important concern. At Coulbourn Instruments, we recognize that whether you are considering a business relationship with us, or are an existing customer, you have an interest in how we collect, retain, and use information about you and your business relationship with us.

Coulbourn Instruments does not sell customer information to outside parties.

You should also be aware that there may be situations where we are legally required to disclose information about you, such as in response to a subpoena, to prevent fraud, or to comply with a legally permitted inquiry by a governmental agency or federal regulator.

Customer Privacy
At Coulbourn Instruments, employee access to customer information is authorized for business purposes only and is based on the sensitivity of the information and our employees' or agents' need to know. We remind employees regularly of their obligations under Contract, which states our requirements for using customer information. Disregard of these requirements will result in disciplinary action, including termination in appropriate cases.

While we use 128-bit SSL encryption to protect sensitive information online, (access to any of the Coulbourn Instruments' Gateways is through https:// security) we also do everything in our power to protect user-information off-line. All of our users' information, not just the sensitive information mentioned above, is restricted in our offices. Only employees who need the information to perform a specific job (for example, our billing clerk or a customer service representative) are granted access to personally identifiable information. Our employees must use password-protected screen-savers when they leave their desk. When they return, they must re-enter their password to re-gain access to your information. Furthermore, ALL employees are kept up-to-date on our security and privacy practices. Every quarter, as well as any time new policies are added, our employees are notified and/or reminded about the importance we place on privacy, and what they can do to ensure our customers' information is protected. Finally, the servers that we store personally identifiable information on are kept in a secure environment, behind a locked door.

We have established and continually maintain security standards and procedures to help us protect you from unauthorized access to confidential information about you, including through the Internet.

Information Security
Coulbourn Instruments employs an additional protection mechanism known as a firewall to protect our computer systems and your information from external intrusion. Firewalls can be thought of as selective barriers that only let authorized traffic (i.e., you, your customers) through to Coulbourn Instruments' systems.

Daily review of system and application activity logs are another mechanism Coulbourn Instruments uses to protect our systems and your information. These logs are reviewed regularly and any anomalies or discrepancies are investigated thoroughly and action is taken immediately.

To further protect you, a timeout feature is often used. This feature will automatically log you out of your current merchant service session after an extended period of inactivity on payment gateway site.

Since this policy may change over time as we modify or expand our service, we suggest that you check back from time to time in order to understand how we treat your information. Any changes made in our privacy policy will be sent to each of our current clients by eMail.  Please be sure we have a current, valid eMail address on file.  Your use of this web site, www.coulbourn.com, or any of our web sites, constitutes your agreement to the terms of the Coulbourn Instruments privacy policy. Your continued use of this web site, www.coulbourn.com, or any of our web sites, constitutes your agreement to any such changes.
