Coulbourn Is Pleased To Present Our New Precision Programmable Shocker
The new H13-17 Precision Programmable Shocker represents the latest in technology, offering advanced features and unparalleled precision. A user friendly setup menu replaces switches and dials for specifying parametric controls. The meter has been replaced by an LCD display providing much greater accuracy. The H13-17 delivers shock over a range of one microamp (0.000001 amps) to five milliamps (0.005 amps) in increments of one microamp. The H13-17 will interface to existing systems without any additional parts or modifications needed. You can even use your existing shock cables.
The shock stimulus is a 10 millisecond, polarity reversal, isolated square wave that can be delivered as a 2-Pole or scanned output for grid floor shock applications (8-Pole). Isolation (floating output) provides operator and subject safety, as well as isolation from other sources of electrical stimulation. Ten amplitudes can be set and stored manually or the shocker can be programmed via a 0 to 2.5 volt DC signal source. Contact your Sales and Applications specialist for more information.
Porsolt Swim Test
The Porsolt Swim Test is now a part of the Actimetrics’ FreezeFrame family of applications. FreezeFrame 3 includes data acquisition and analysis for Contextual Fear Conditioning, Tail Suspension, and the Porsolt Swim Test. The Porsolt Swim test is one of the most commonly used procedures for the assessment of depression and the effects of antidepressant drugs in animal models. Automated scoring correlates at greater than 95% with human scored data. FreezeFrame 3 is now compatible with Vista and Windows 7, contains a new click and drag graphical interface for setting up trial parameters and can be used with either the standard CCD cameras or industrial grade USB cameras. Using USB cameras eliminates the need to install interface cards.
